1. Eligibility and Trade History

Clients are normally required to have at least 6 months of active trade with Scorelink Solutions Limited. This should include regular purchases and a satisfactory record of paying invoices on time. A shorter trading history may affect eligibility.

2. Documents Required

To assess an application, Scorelink may ask for the following documents:

  • Company profile.
  • Certificate of Incorporation or Business Registration Certificate.
  • Current business or trading licence.
  • Current CR12 showing the company’s directors and shareholders.
  • Certified copies of directors’ national ID cards or passports.
  • Valid KRA Tax Compliance Certificate and KRA PIN Certificate.
  • VAT Certificate, where applicable.
  • Bank statements for the previous 6 months.
  • Audited financial statements for the previous 3 years, including the auditor’s report, balance sheet, profit and loss statement, cash flow statement, statement of changes in equity and notes.
  • Contact details for the person responsible for the credit account.

Please ensure that all documents and information are complete, accurate and current. Scorelink may verify the information submitted.

3. Assessment and Approval

Scorelink reviews each application individually. The review may consider your trading and payment history, financial position, tax and business compliance, and the stability of your operations.

Scorelink may approve, decline or change a credit offer. We will notify you of the decision. Credit is available only after you receive and accept written approval stating your credit limit and payment terms.

4. Credit Limits, Payment Terms and Charges

If approved, you will receive a written offer showing your credit limit and payment due date. Payment periods are usually 7 to 30 days from the invoice date. Any different period must be agreed in writing.

Any interest, late-payment charge or other fee that applies will be stated clearly in your written credit offer or agreement before you accept it. Do not assume that a charge applies unless it is shown in that written offer or agreement.

Late or missed payments may lead to suspension of the account, a reduced credit limit or withdrawal of the credit facility. Any applicable charges will be handled according to the written agreement and applicable law.

5. Account Reviews

Scorelink may review your credit account from time to time. We may ask for updated documents or information. Following a review, your limit or payment terms may be renewed, changed, suspended or withdrawn.

6. Your Responsibilities

If your credit application is approved, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information.
  • Tell Scorelink promptly about changes to your company’s ownership, structure, registration or compliance status.
  • Pay invoices by the agreed due dates.
  • Notify Scorelink promptly if you dispute an invoice or expect a payment delay.
  • Provide updated documents when reasonably requested for an account review.

Failure to meet these responsibilities may result in a review, suspension or withdrawal of your credit facility.

7. Ownership of Goods

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, goods supplied on credit remain the property of Scorelink Solutions Limited until the related invoice is paid in full. Until then, do not sell, transfer, pledge or materially alter the goods. If payment is not made, Scorelink may take lawful steps to recover the outstanding amount or goods, where permitted by law.

8. Overdue Accounts and Recovery

If you do not pay by the agreed due date, Scorelink may suspend or withdraw your credit facility and take lawful steps to recover the outstanding amount.

Any recovery costs or charges for which you may be responsible will be handled as stated in your written agreement and as permitted by law. An overdue account may affect future credit applications.

9. Suspension or Closure of Credit

Scorelink may reduce, suspend or close a credit facility if payments are repeatedly late, required documents are not provided, information is inaccurate or the account no longer meets the agreed terms. Where practical, we will notify you of the action and its reason.

10. Use of Application Information

Scorelink uses information and documents submitted with an application to assess and manage the credit account, verify information, meet legal requirements and recover overdue amounts lawfully. Information may be shared with authorized service providers or regulators where necessary and permitted by law.

11. Questions and Disputes

Contact Scorelink first if you have a question or dispute about a credit decision, invoice, payment term or account balance. If we cannot resolve the matter directly, it may be handled through a lawful dispute-resolution process under the laws of Kenya.

Acceptance of Credit Terms

By applying for or using a Scorelink credit facility, you agree to these terms and to the use of your submitted information for credit assessment and account administration. The specific credit limit, payment dates and any applicable charges will be set out in your written credit offer or agreement.
